In 2008, Taloe cooperate with Pulih foundation to do capacity building for Taloe teaching staffs in implementing psychosocial activity for children and youth.
PULIH Foundation is a non-profit organization that is active in the field of trauma recovery and psychosocial intervention for people that have been affected by violence both in a direct and indirect manner and natural disasters in different areas in Indonesia

Activities
The capacity building which runs for 10 months (January – October 2008), consist of: Intensive class sessions, Workshops, Observations and guidance in the field, and Support group sessions. Materials given in class sessions are about stress, trauma, child development, conflict and tsunami impact for children, psychosocial recovery, psychosocial structured activity, children rights, psychological assistant role, burnout. Meanwhile in workshop Taloe teachers together with Pulih staffs design and implement psychosocial structured activities, facilitate children in group or as individuals and help PULIH to finalize the implementation module. Pulih observe children development and how Taloe teachers handle the children. Pulih also give examples and guide Taloe teachers in conducting psychosocial structured activities in the field. And to make Taloe teachers feel more comfortable during their work, Pulih conducts support group once a month. Weekly coordination is also implemented in order to avoid miscommunication and wrong information flow. |

Besides implementing program of traditional dance and music instrument teaching for children and youth in the community, Taloe also manages a business in order to cover fund deficiency of project and for Taloe sustainability in the future. The business includes renting of sound system, music studio, dancing group, music, event organizer hiring. In the end of 2008, Taloe also start to plan cultural tourism that will be coorporate with the government of Sabang City - Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam. Touring Performances or Performances of Children (I & II) |

Performance is an integrated part of the courses. This is a good motivation for children in their daily practices. Performance is also a good chance for children to show the new skill in front of their parent, relatives and peers. It will boost up their confidence. On April and August 2008 Taloe have been organized 12 performances in 6 locations: SD Ule Kareung, Lam Kunyet, Lambada Peukan, Lam Tiempeung, Lambroe Deyah, Lam Klat. Those performances were run smoothly and all children actively participated in performing all dances that have been taught. Children who learn traditional music instrument also capable to play the music while other children performing the dance. Apart from dance and music instrument performance, there were some children who performed their talent such as singing and reading a poet. In the end of the event, Taloe also performed some songs as additional entertainment. |
